The warning is to inform the possibility violent demonstrations. Libya Travel Advisory
The Department of State advises U.S. citizens against all travel to Libya. On September 12, 2012 the Department of State sent orders for the departure of all non-emergency U.S. government individuals from Libya, subsequent to the assault on the U.S. Diplomatic embassy in Benghazi.
